NEO HCC Update

Good afternoon,

Here are a few updates for the coalition since our meeting.

1. NEO HCC Training and Schedule

• As discussed in the last General Meeting a survey was sent out to see how the coalition would like to proceed for this years schedule. After reviewing the results that were submitted, majority of participants stated that they would like to see the quarterly meetings with trainings in the off months.

  • The General Coalition meeting dates will be quarterly:

    • December 6th 10-noon at Harvard Ave Training Room, 2501 Harvard Ave, Newburgh Heights, OH 44105.

    • March 7th 10-noon at Harvard Ave Training Room, 2501 Harvard Ave, Newburgh Heights, OH 44105.

    • June 6th Annual Healthcare Coalition Conference/TBD/Likely Lakeland Community College again.

  • Trainings dates will try to be scheduled for the first Friday of non-General Coalition meeting months, however, this will be dependent on speaker availability. Notices will be provided as trainings are scheduled.

• With this in mind, we will be having an Access and Functional Needs hybrid training on November 1 from 10:00 – 12:00. This training will be presented by Tiffany Allen from ODH:

  • Tiffany A. Allen, M.S., has been a sought-after disability consultant and advocate on various corporate, state, local and national agency projects for the past 15 years specializing predominantly in the realm of emergency management. Currently, Ms. Allen is on assignment by ASTHO as the Disability and Preparedness Specialist for Ohio's Department of Health, Bureau of Health Preparedness as an AFN subject matter expert pertaining to all state planning, preparedness, and response activities. 

Between her lived experience of having Muscular Dystrophy since birth, and her many successes in advocating for accessibility and inclusion for all of our vulnerable populations, she's grateful that all roads have led to public health. Ms. Allen was also inducted into Who's Who in America. in November 2023.

• This training will by hybrid and will be held on Teams and in-person at Harvard Garage: Harvard Ave Training Room, 2501 Harvard Ave, Newburgh Heights, OH 44105.

• All information here will be sent out in a calendar invite and can be found on the NEO HCC Website blog and calendar.

1. Meeting Minutes

• Attached are the meeting minutes from the last NEO HCC General Coalition Meetings.

• Please let us know if there is anything else you feel should be added or any questions.

• Minutes and agendas will be uploaded to the NEO HCC website as well for review.

• In the near future the attendance list and a video recording of the meeting will be added to the website for alternative  access.

1. NEO HCC Website

• Will begin shortly on adding the new elements to the website to better use it for information and document sharing.

• A contractor will be creating new pages for each of the ASPR Hospitals for them to work out if.

• The website may have some functionality issues as we work with the company to update the site.

• We are continuing work towards reactivating the website distro lists to help prevent bounce backs and spam markings.
